Behind the Scenes Bike Tours of
SONOMA VALLEY
This was our first trip to Sonoma and we wanted to get a little of everything. This was the highlight of all we did. The optional pedal assist e-bikes make this a no effort journey with the focus being on the outdoors and what our guide provided. As with any guided tour the experience is directly proportionate to the guide and this company did not disappoint. Our guide's mix of detailed information about wineries, wine making and Sonoma and a carefree, friendly charm made the trip one we won’t soon forget. We visited 3 very distinct wineries and a charming old world cheese making venue. If you have a little time or a week you don’t want to miss this. Even if you haven’t ridden a bike it is a no brainer. I can’t imagine a better way to spend the day learning and tasting wine.

TOUR OVERVIEW
Experiencing the vineyards from the seat of a bicycle is undoubtedly one of the most fun things to do while visiting Sonoma Valley! As you pedal past rows of vineyards, you’ll enjoy an invigorating sensory experience that simply cannot be duplicated inside a car, tour van or limo.
Your tour group will be led by a local, knowledgeable Tour Guide – someone who’s excited to share Sonoma with you and enhance your education of the vine-to-bottle process. Our pedal-assist bikes are fitted, and riders given a chance to familiarize themselves before leaving. Within the first mile of the ride – whether on pedal-assist, or not – you’ll relax as you realize the route is designed around quiet roads, flat terrain and breathtaking views. You’ll pedal an average of 3 to 5 miles between stops at local wineries and tasting rooms. The emphasis is on enjoying the scenery, meeting new friends and discovering great wines along the way.
A signature part of this Sonoma Valley Bike Tour is our wine country picnic served on the winery grounds overlooking the vineyards. The picnic – catered by our talented friends at Sonoma’s Best Gourmet Deli – includes a delicious assortment of artisan sandwiches including turkey & provolone with caramelized onions and a light pesto spread, a Caprese with fresh house-made pesto and tomatoes, and a savory Salami sandwich with fresh pear, caramelized onions and brie – all lightly grilled on fresh locally made baguette. Sandwiches are accompanied by fresh fruit and dessert platters as well as assorted seasonable nibbles. Celebrating a birthday? Don’t forget to mention it as we like to build that into the ride.
After lunch, you’ll pedal to one more local winery – or sometimes we’ll visit a boutique tasting room near the plaza for a seated tasting of limited production wines – before concluding back at our shop close to 3:30/4:00 p.m.
Note: Our guided bike tours are adult-oriented and wine-focused and intended for guests age 21+. Exceptions are occasionally made, but please call first - family tours are best when private.
