Cycling In the Vineyards

Our Cycling IN the Vineyards Tour is offered seasonally from April 1st through October 31st. During the Fall/Winter Season, check out our Classic Half-Day Bike Tour.

TOUR OVERVIEW

One of the most unique things to do in Sonoma Valley is take a bike tour that allows you to go off-road and literally through the vineyards!

On this bike tour, you’ll venture to the Carneros District, a region that’s as famous for its postcard-ready views as it is for its milder-climate varietals such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Just a small handful of wineries allow biking through their vineyards – making this a truly special adventure that is not to be missed! One of the vineyard properties you’ll bike through borders a federally designated wildlife preserve, home to an array of wetland birds including herons, mallards and egrets.

Before you get rolling, your Tour Guide will ensure that you’re completely comfortable with the fit and handling of your bike. With a casual pace and frequent stops, the emphasis is on enjoying the scenery and introducing you to boutique and family-owned wineries along the way. You’ll pedal an average of 2-4 miles between each winery visit.

Note: A minimum of 3 guests must be reserved for this tour to guarantee departure. On rare occasions when only 1-2 guests are reserved for this tour, your reservation may be converted to a Classic Half-Day Sonoma Bike Tour. In this scenario, our reservations team will notify you of the change 24 hours prior to tour.

ABOUT THE WINERIES

When you’re looking for world-class wines, the Sonoma Valley boasts an embarrassment of riches. But when it comes to finding a wine tasting experience that stands apart, a warm and welcoming tasting room team who exude a sincere eagerness to share their knowledge makes all the difference.

In this spirit, the overall tasting room experience – and especially the people you’ll meet there – predominantly determines which wineries you’ll visit on tour with us.

Tasting appointments are finalized 5-6 days ahead of your bike tour.

If you are concerned about duplicating visits, please let us know about any existing appointments you have made, so we can avoid those wineries on your bike tour: info@sonomavalleybiketours.com
